8th Annual NWB User Days Workshop
14 April 2020We want to officially announce our 8th Annual NWB User Days Workshop which will be held remotely May 12-15. We will focus primarily on user training, including lessons for complete beginners as well as training in more advanced features. We will also organize breakout sessions where the developers of NWB-enabled tools (e.g., CaImAn, Brainstorm, SpikeInterface) will train users in how to use NWB to access state-of-the-art analysis and visualization tools. We will also work to strengthen our community by holding breakout sessions where users can meet each other from all over the world.
We are excited about engaging with the community in this new way. While we are of course disappointed that we are unable to be at Janelia this year, these unprecedented times give us an opportunity to reimagine how we engage with the community. In the wake of our recent INCF endorsement, we are exploring how we can use virtual meetings to bring together scientists from all over the world who are passionate about open science and open data for neurophysiology.
Please see details about the event and the schedule here. As always, this event is free. If you are new to NWB, we encourage you to prepare a dataset that you would like to convert to NWB. If you are already using NWB, then we encourage you to brainstorm a hacking project that you would like to work with NWB developers and the broader community on. We will also have tutorials on advanced NWB topics that may be of interest to experienced NWB users. Please register so we can easily disseminate information about the event. We hope to see you there! As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to message us on our Slack workspace or email oruebel@lbl.gov.
