Access to super-computing resources
INCF provides access to supercomputing resources for the neuroinformatics community
The INCF provides limited access to a Cray XE6 and a Blue Gene/L (BG/L) supercomputer housed at the PDC Center for High Performance Computing at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
Evaluation Phase
During an initial evaluation phase, a limited numbers of large-scale computing projects will be selected, based on the suitability of the project for supercomputing. Research groups, with limited possibilities to get access to supercomputers at their home institutions, are given priority. Approved projects will then be regularly re-evaluated. New projects will be approved based on availability and usage load.

"Neuroscience has reached a stage where it is becoming interesting to build computational models spanning many levels of structural organization, for example ion channels to brain regions. Such large-scale models can be built both through theoretical considerations and based directly on empirical data. In both cases, super-computing is an enabling technology".
